Launching on September 1 for £89.99 / $119.99 / €99.99, the 913-piece 60367 Passenger Airplane looks mostly the same as previous LEGO passenger airplanes, but there’s a crucial inclusion that brings the build into the modern day.
However, 60367 Passenger Airplane also includes an apron bus, which looks to be autonomous with room for at least one, maybe two minifigures. A design on a brick inside also seems to replicate a display, but there seems to be no space or controls for a driver.
Autonomous buses have been in use since at least 2019 but have been introduced further around the world in 2023, including in Amsterdam and Stockholm.
Considering that LEGO sets usually take a few years to develop, it’s an interesting bit of foresight from the LEGOCity design team and helps evolve LEGOCity’s airport with advancing technology.
