LEGO Jurassic Park 76959 Triceratops Research‘s most interesting build – the dinosaur poo – was going to be included from the very start.
Included in 76959 Triceratops Research, you could argue that the Jeep or Triceratops is a more iconic part of the model. However, the most memorable part of the original scene is undoubtedly the classic moment where Ellie Sattler reaches into the poo to uncover what’s ailing the Triceratops. Thankfully, you can recreate this scene completely with the new set.
No matter what, the LEGO Jurassic Park 30th anniversary wave supposedly needed a brick-built pile of dinosaur faeces, at least how LEGO designer Atticus Tsai-McCarthy explains it.
“The ‘pile of sh*t’ as Ian Malcolm lovingly puts it, was considered from the start,” shared Tsai-McCarthy. “For the sake of scene accuracy but also for that fun, little uncovering gimmick.”

Despite the nature of the brick-built pile, that didn’t stop the design team from featuring an especially explicit build into 76959 Triceratops Research, for maximum accuracy of course.
