76199 Carnage has already been available at LEGO.com in the US for a couple of weeks, but the rest of us will have to wait until next month to get our hands on the supervillain’s bust. When the time comes, you’ll be able to do so through the official online store – but Zavvi is also offering an alternative option, along with a tantalising ‘introductory offer’ for those who sign up in advance.
That doesn’t mean you can pre-order the set, unfortunately, but handing over your name and email address does mean you’ll be among the first to be notified when it’s available to buy. And while we don’t yet have any specifics on what that offer will entail, the spider emoji on the set’s landing page indicates it will be something closely-related to the Spider-Man baddie.
Before 76199 Carnage arrives on shelves both real and virtual, though, the LEGO Group will launch 76187 Venom (review) – a set that seemingly offers a practically identical building experience, save for a colour palette swap and an added tongue.
Both of these busts are labelled as ‘assembled from the Spider-Man universe’, a phrase which here means ‘tied to Venom: Let’s There Be Carnage’, the supervillain sequel that’s set to premiere in September.
