Following months of forced closure under current national lockdown rules, has finally confirmed when we’ll be able to visit the theme park again.
The resort’sstates will re-open from April 12, with the ‘vast majority’ of its outdoor attractions open to visitors. For the time being, indoor rides and live entertainment are still off the menu – as are the park’s hotels.
This won’t be the first timehas opened its doors since the coronavirus pandemic began, so many of the necessary procedures are already in place, including one-way systems, temperature checks on arrival, enhanced cleaning and social distancing markers.
Merlin Entertainments will continue to limit the number of guests allowed into the park at any one time, so you’ll still need to pre-book your tickets. Face masks are also required on all rides and other locations across the resort for those aged 11 and over, although you’ll be allowed to remove them on water attractions.
The re-opening date has been set in line with UK government guidance, and could therefore move again should the recently-announced roadmap change course. For now, though, it sounds like we’ll be able to enjoy a day out atin as little as six and a half weeks.
